Kantar Worldpanel Crunches the Numbers with Style

Kantar Worldpanel

"Our clients are impressed with the speed, and the delivery is slick. From our point of view, we don’t have to invest a lot of time into making it look good. We use the templates function in Dapresy, and that means it looks like a Worldpanel piece of work as soon as it comes out of the system."

Why Dapresy?

Having used Dapresy Pro for approximately three years, Ian Waymark explains: “There were two or three things we needed to achieve with Dapresy, speed was one of them, because results could take several days or a week to have any information coming back out of the survey. That has been a real win for us as we can start looking at basic information more or less straight away. It is also a very versatile reporting tool with a very flexible front end, so that has allowed us to put a lot more polish on what we are providing, both internally and externally. Together with that, the other win for us has been the flexibility it offers us in stitching together different data sources.”

Proud Achievements

When asked what Waymark's greatest achievement with Dapresy Pro was, he responded with: “One great moment for me was a project at the end of last year, for an external client, where what they were asking for was based on one of our more complex data sets containing different levels – multiple trips, multiple respondents. It was something that was always very tricky to stitch together. But Dapresy made it possible to do that in a way that would have been extremely difficult before. It was a fantastic project to have Dapresy Pro involved in – something that otherwise would have been just about impossible for us to do, given the usual constraints of time and resources.”

In the end, the client was pleased with the result. Ian remarks, “What often comes up in feedback from external clients is that they are impressed with the speed, and the delivery is slick. From our point of view, we don’t have to invest a lot of time into making it look good. We use the templates function in Dapresy, and that means it looks like a Worldpanel piece of work as soon as it comes out of the system.”

Future Plans

For the future, Ian is aiming to move the few remaining project his team works on over to Dapresy. He adds: “It’s worth pointing out, we are not a skilled technical team. Dapresy is an application which is very visual, and very easy for people to understand and create projects with – and it gives you a lot of power! We feel very comfortable with it."
